Serum levels of PG-specific hetero- and autoantibodies (against human and mouse
PG, respectively) and number of animals in the individual age groups. Age (months) indicate when the first PG injection was given; animals were sacrificed 87 days later, when serum samples were collected. Significantly (p < 0.05) higher ^†heteroantibody and *autoantibody concentrations compared to the 1-month-old group (bold face) are indicated.
