  1. SPC from young and aged mice were harvested and cultured for 48 hours in media only, LPS, or anti-CD40 mab with murine IL-4. Blast cells were gated as in figure 5 and percent blast cells were calculated. Percent of blasts from stimulating conditions were divided by percent of blast cells in media only to produce a fold-increase. Data is representative of 3 separate experiments.
