IL-15 deficiency decreased the amount of CFU-GM/CFU-M and inhibited osteoclasts formation. The numbers of CFU-GM (a) and CFU-M (b) differentiated from bone marrow-derived cells were significantly decreased by IL-15 deficiency. c Osteoclast formation increased in the osteonecrosis group, and IL-15 deficiency significantly attenuated the osteoclasts maturation.
