Exosomal miRs are associated with the progression of inflammation. Adipocytes-derived exosomal miR-34a inhibits the transcriptional factor KLF4 and repressing the activity of KLF4 suppresses M2 macrophage polarization. M1-macrophage-derived miR-326 increases the regulation of RORC2, leading to the regulation of the production of Th17 cells, which secretes IL-17A, and further increases the inflammation.
