The box-and-whisker plots show the 10–90 percentile range of the data of 30 SPF-2 adolescents, 8 SPF-2 young adults, 50 non-SPF adolescents and 100 adult non-SPF macaques. Significant differences between age groups were determined by one-way ANOVA and are indicated as p values.
