Shedding of soluble CD163. Various inflammatory signals induce shedding of sCD163 in vitro. Shedding of sCD163 can be induced by TLR4 activation or FcγR-crosslinking mediated by ADAM17/TACE. Half-life of sCD163 is longer than that of TNF-α.
